Camden's guide says Hampstead was one of the first conservation areas created after the Town and Country Planning Act in 1968.

Gov.uk guidance says a building owner proposing work covered by the Party Wall etc Act 1996 must give adjoining owners notice in the way the Act sets down, and the Act provides a way to resolve disagreements.
