The short answer
The council's documented basement complaints centre on construction noise, dust and dirt, possible damage to adjoining foundations, contractor traffic and loss of neighbour amenity. Prevention starts before excavation: confirm planning and building-control routes, investigate the structure and ground, design the temporary and permanent works, plan deliveries and spoil removal, and agree enforceable site controls.
This guide uses the word “complaints” in that council-policy sense. It does not allege complaints about Hampstead Renovations or any named business. For the service itself, see our Fulham basement conversions page.
