- Validating 'Like-for-Like' Repairs: The line between a 'repair' and a 'material alteration' is extremely thin in heavily scrutinized areas. If you wish to replace weather-damaged external brickwork with identical reclaimed bricks and lime mortar, securing an LDC proves the Corporation legally classes it as a repair, shielding you from any accusations that you executed an unauthorized architectural change.
